Career

Benjamin stumbled upon blowing glass in December 2007 trying to make an accessory for his Fish Breeding business. He continues to refine his works through skills acquired in workshops with some of the finest artists in the glass industry. His work has expanded into making custom colored tubing, larger hollow vases and cold-working glass.

He has studied with Suellen Fowler, whose forty years of experience in developing her own borosilicate colors, intricate bottles and sculptures has put her at the forefront of the art. Benjamin learned contemporary marble designs in and on the glass with world-renowned artist Josh Sable and attended the Eugene Glass School to learn floral compression marbles from master John Kobuki, while also attending a seminar by Hollow-Sculpture Master Banjo on creating large art pieces.

For many years I have been involved with art and design, and their history and development. Known and unknown artists and designers inspired me to start, to be creative and to develop my skills.
